On May 16-19, Exchange and Dialogue · 2024 Traditional Medicine Forum and the Second International Conference on Enhancing the Influence of Traditional Chinese Medicine Journals was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. The conference was hosted by China Association of Chinese Medicine (CACM) and Zhejiang Chinese Medical University, and co-organized by the International Influence Enhancement Platform of Traditional Chinese Medicine Journals of CACM and the editorial department of Clinical Traditional Medicine and Pharmacology. The meeting attracted renowned scholars and international friends from the field of traditional medicine and publishing in multiple countries, including South Korea, the United States, Spain, Malaysia, Thailand, and Nigeria. Domestic and foreign scholars of traditional medicine at the conference shared the latest research achievements and experiences of traditional medicine in various countries, and academic exchanges and discussions were conducted.

During the Exchange and Dialogue · 2024 Traditional Medicine Lecture, Nannan SHI, researcher of Institute of Basic Research in Clinical Medicine, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, gave a keynote speech titled “ITMCTR: Past, Present and Future”, which mainly introduced the importance of establishing a dedicated traditional medicine registration platform, the basic situation, main functions, and future work priorities of ITMCTR. The speech further emphasized the necessity of registration before conducting clinical trials, and stated that ITMCTR will continue to promote the high-quality development of traditional medicine clinical trials.

The holding of this conference provides a good platform for the exchange and cooperation of traditional medicine among countries, and plays a positive role in enhancing the awareness of ITMCTR and promoting high-quality registration of clinical trials in the field of traditional medicine.
