Objectives of Study：

The diagnosis-related group (DRG)-based payment system, designed to help governments cost-effectively determine compensation for hospital medical services, has gained worldwide attention. However, the DRG system in China has yet to recognize Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment.In this paper, we compare the costs of TCM over alternative treatment approaches to explore the feasibility of including TCM in the DRG-based payment system.
